Johan”PieLieDie” Åström took a break from aggressive Dota two following his Newbee staff from The International disbanded, but based on Valve’s team enrollment page, he’s linking up with T1 to help shape its roster.
Throughout the peak of TI9, T1 declared it would be forming its Dota group, signing South Korean veteran Lee”Forev” Sang-don into the roster.
After spending the latter half of this 2018-19 year captaining the Forward Gaming/Newbee roster into TI9 and placing on a solid performance, PieLieDie was the sole participant not to immediately join a brand new team if his Newbee squad disbanded. Now, he’ll probably become the captain of a group which could make some major noise in Southeast Asia.
Only having Forev and PieLieDie is a fantastic beginning, but more signings might need to take place in the coming weeks when the group would like to compete at the DreamLeague Season 13 big Qualifiers, that will start on Dec. 1.
There are numerous different titles on the board which could be intriguing pickups for T1.
Additionally, there are a number of players who may make sense, such as Milan”MiLAN” Kozomara and Chai”Mushi” Yee Fung, that are listed on inactive rosters or entirely separate.
There’s not been any official statement made by the group however, but that may be because direction is waiting to announce the whole roster simultaneously. There are two full weeks for T1 to lock at a roster when the group plans to compete at the next pair of Dota Pro Circuit events for the season, keep your eyes to the staff registry if you would like to see precisely who will join them .
